The objective of this project is for you to experience some of the decision making and record keeping that you will encounter in your future. This will include selecting a job, a place to live, a vehicle, etc. and then tracking your income and costs.  You will learn how to track an account balance, use checks, understand and use percents, and more.

Your responsibilities:

•     Keep your account accurately balanced.
•      Make decisions about the type of lifestyle housing, transportation, etc) that you can afford given the job you have chosen.
•   Think seriously about the things you learn with respect to your future and write a meaningful reflection at the end of the project.

You will be:

•     Selecting a job that you will be qualified to do directly after high school
•    Finding a place to rent
•   Buying a reasonable source of transportation using dealer financing
• Paying various bills such as utilities, garbage, food, etc.
• Balancing your account using your checkbook, bank statement, and register
