The
objective of this project is for you to experience some of the decision making and record keeping that you will encounter
in your future. This will include selecting a job, a place to live, a vehicle, etc. and then tracking your income and costs. You will learn how to track an account balance, use checks, understand and use percents,
and more.
Your responsibilities:

Keep your account accurately balanced.

Make decisions about the type of lifestyle
housing, transportation, etc) that you can afford given the job you have chosen.

Think seriously about the things you learn with respect to
your future and write a meaningful reflection at the end of the project.
You
will be:

Selecting a
job that you will be qualified to do directly after high school

Finding a place to rent
- Buying a reasonable source of transportation
using dealer financing
- Paying
various bills such as utilities, garbage, food, etc.
- Balancing your account using your checkbook, bank statement, and register
